Behavior tells you more than job titles. How people actually use your product should drive your intervention strategy.
Power users are in your product daily, exploring 60%+ of features, and their usage grows over time. Nurture these people. Recruit them as advocates. Offer advanced training and early beta access. They're your expansion revenue engine.
Casual users log in weekly, use 30-40% of features, and maintain steady but unspectacular usage. These users are fine but have upside potential. Focus on driving deeper adoption by introducing them to advanced features that solve problems they didn't know you could solve.
At-risk users show declining usage, shallow feature depth (under 30%), and infrequent logins (monthly or less). Time for a re-engagement campaign. Figure out what barriers are stopping them. Did something break in their workflow? Did a champion leave the company? Did a competitor poach them?
Non-users (dormant) activated once but haven't logged in for 30+ days. Your win-back campaign targets these users. Some will return, many won't. The key is understanding why they abandoned ship so you can fix the root cause for future users.
Value-Based Segments
